Procurement Services Specialist

The successful candidate will work out of our Toronto Support Centre four days a week Mondays to Thursdays and Fridays are work from home. Reporting into the Senior Director, Strategic Sourcing, you will work collaboratively with the Procurement team and our network of practices in supporting our procurement activities and overseeing the service delivery of our preferred suppliers’ programs. You will be accountable for managing our programs, ensuring the delivery of quality by our suppliers and negotiating other location-specific operational contracts for our practices.
In this role, you will
- Provide first-level support to our dental practices for preferred supplier programs. Consult with dental practices to determine operational requirements and communicate those requirements to cross-functional departments (including Finance, Legal, and Operations) and our suppliers to ensure the speedy resolution of any service-related issues. Facilitate issue escalation, as required.
- Track and monitor supplier performance against Service Level Agreements and identify trends and opportunities to improve service delivery.
- Participate in regular business review meetings with key suppliers and Category Managers to help drive continuous improvement.
- Provide administrative support for Dentalcorp’s corporate travel program.
- Review, revise, negotiate and support the execution of contracts for our dental practices (e.g. services, purchase agreements, NDAs, etc.).
- Upload agreements into a contract management system.
- Keep abreast of current and evolving business requirements and market capabilities to provide customized procurement support.
- Manage the Procurement team’s knowledge base assets (including Excel reporting and SharePoint sites).
- Develop, update, analyze, and deliver regular and ad-hoc reports to management.
- Support Accounts Payable to resolve supplier billing issues.
- Support practices to transition to preferred suppliers’ programs.
- Expand and promote the role of Procurement throughout Dentalcorp.
What we're looking for
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in program administration, management, and/or contract administration
- Excellent organizational skills
- A relationship builder with a natural ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional verbal and written communication. Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to prioritize and react with a sense of urgency
- A love of learning of learning new technology (any experience with MS Office, SharePoint, PowerApps, and robust CLMs would be an asset)
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, and can effectively organize, multi-task, and prioritize a wide array of initiatives
- Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset
